High & Dry is a local marketing and referral service. We connect homeowners in the Houston / Lake Houston area with insured, vetted local drainage contractors. We are not a contractor and we do not perform construction work ourselves. This page explains, in plain terms, what information we collect when you reach out, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't — do with it.
What we collect
When you fill out our form, you choose to give us:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you choose to provide it
- Your ZIP code or the area / neighborhood your home is in
- The details you type about your drainage problem (for example, "standing water along the back fence after every storm")
If you call the number on this site instead, we may keep a record of the call, and calls may be recorded for quality — the same notice shown on our form.
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider also records standard technical logs automatically: things like your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. We use those only to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
One reason: to connect you with a vetted local drainage contractor who can call you back and quote the job. That's the whole point of the service. We can't make the introduction without your name, a way to reach you, and enough about the problem and your location for the contractor to actually help.
How we share it
When you ask us to connect you, we pass your information to the one local contractor we match you with, so they can contact you about your project. That single introduction is the only routine sharing we do — no five-contractor bidding spam, no auctioning your details to a list of callers.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, lead-aggregator marketplaces, or unrelated third parties.
We may share information with the service providers we use to run the site and handle our forms and email — but only so they can do that work for us, not for their own marketing — or if the law requires it (for example, a valid legal request).
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to make the connection and to keep reasonable records of the referral. We have no reason to hold it indefinitely.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete the information you've given us, or ask what we have on file. Email us at hello@highanddryhouston.com and we'll take care of it. You can also simply decline the form — calling us works just as well, and you control what you tell us.
Cookies & tracking
This site is deliberately simple. We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't use cookies to follow you around the web or build an ad profile. If our hosting and security provider sets any cookie, it's limited to what's essential to serve the site securely. The standard server logs described above are the extent of the automatic data collection.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
